My name is Tina Balch. I’m originally from the Philippines, and I came to the United States in
1997. I graduated from college in 1994, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing; however,
I followed a different calling in pharmaceutical sales. In 2001, I bumped into a good friend who
introduced me to, and encouraged me to enter the world of real estate. The beginning of my
career in real estate eventually led to the end of my stint in pharmaceutical, in 2002.
I started part-time as a loan officer, and I discovered that I enjoyed it, a lot. In my wildest dream,
I never would have imagined I would become a Realtor. I believe things happen for a very good
reason, and I’m thankful that God had a much better plan for me. I studied nursing because
I wanted to help people. And, helping people is the reason I love real estate. Not only is it
gratifying to know that I’m helping my clients with their specific needs, I’m also honored that
my clients have placed their trust in me, when making a major decision in their lives. There is
no greater compliment, than when I receive a referral from a client, who has become a friend.
My business is thriving because of the referrals that continue to come my way from family and
friends.
On the fun side, I love spending time with my kids, Katrina (8), and Titus (6). My kids occupy
most of my time, and I love every minute of it. They have so much energy, and it’s all I can do to
keep up. It’s just easy to go with the flow – Chuck E. Cheese, Barnes and Noble, and frequent
flyer to Edward Cinema. And for myself, if I could, I would dive every other day. If that weren’t
enough, I would bowl till my back hurt. I also dream of having a recording studio, so I can record
a Christian song, and I would love to travel around the world.
My other passions are, Gawad Kalinga; We Are One Filipino; Convoy of Hope; and, the
Community Bible Church.
My husband, Tress, and I own Happy Sushi restaurant, located on Mira Mesa Blvd. If you’re
